Minisymposium
"Applications of Parallel Computation in Industry and Engineering" (APCI&E)
will be held in conjunction with the
PARA 2012: Workshop on State-of-the-Art in Scientific and Parallel Computing
Helsinki, Finland
June 10-13, 2012
http://www.csc.fi/english/pages/para2012
ORGANIZERS:
R. Ciegis (Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Lithuania)
J. Zilinskas (Vilnius University, Lithuania)
The minisymposium is the 4th in the series with previous minisymposia:
- Minisymposium "Applications of Parallel Computation in Industry and
Engineering" at PARA 2008: Workshop on State-of-the-Art in Scientific
and Parallel Computing, May 13-16, 2008, Trondheim, Norway;
http://www.techmat.vgtu.lt/~inga/para08
- Minisymposium "Applications of Parallel Computation in Industry and
Engineering" at PPAM 2009: Eight International Conference on Parallel
Processing and Applied Mathematics, September 13-16, 2009, Wroclaw,
Poland; http://www.techmat.vgtu.lt/ppam09
- Minisymposium "Applications of Parallel Computation in Industry and
Engineering" at PPAM 2011: Ninth International Conference on Parallel
Processing and Applied Mathematics, September 11-14, 2011, Torun,
Poland; http://www.techmat.vgtu.lt/ppam11
The main theme of PARA12 is State of the Art in Scientific and Parallel Computing with a special theme "Towards Exascale". Interesting topics include (but are not restricted to) algorithms, software, tools, environments as well as applications for scientific computing, high-performance computing, grid computing, cloud computing, and interactive visualization.
The Minisymposium APCI&E is going to provide a forum for researchers and
practitioners using
parallel computations for solution of complex industrial and engineering applied
problems.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
- Application of parallel numerical methods to engineering and industrial
problems
- Scientific computation
- Parallel algorithms for solution of systems of PDEs
- Parallel algorithms for optimization
- Solution of data and computation intensive real world problems
- Parallel algorithms for heterogeneous computers (multicore and GPU)
DEADLINES:
