Minisymposium
"Applications of Parallel Computation in Industry and Engineering" (APCI&E)
will be held in conjunction with the
PPAM2011
9TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON
PARALLEL PROCESSING AND APPLIED MATHEMATICS
Torun, Poland,
September 11-14, 2011
http://ppam.pl
ORGANIZERS:
R. Ciegis (Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Lithuania)
J. Zilinskas (Vilnius University, Lithuania)
The PPAM 2011 conference, ninth in a series, will cover topics in parallel and
distributed processing, including theory and applications, as well as applied
mathematics. The focus will be on models, algorithms, and software tools which
facilitate efficient and convenient utilization of modern parallel and
distributed computing architectures, as well as on large-scale applications, and
cloud computing.
The Minisymposium APCI&E is going to provide a forum for researchers and
practitioners using
parallel computations for solution of complex industrial and engineering applied
problems.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
* Application of parallel numerical methods to engineering and industrial
problems
* Scientific computation
* Parallel algorithms for solution of systems of PDEs
* Parallel algorithms for optimization
* Grids and clouds for solution of data and computation intensive real world problems
* Parallel algorithms for multicore computers
DEADLINES:

PAPER SUBMISSION AND PUBLICATION
Original papers are invited for the conference. Authors should submit full
papers (draft version, PDF file, together with abstract) to the conference
office before May 15, 2011. Regular papers are not to exceed 10 pages (LNCS
style). Papers will be refereed and accepted on the basis of their scientific
merit and relevance to the conference topics. Abstracts of accepted papers will
be available during the conference in form of a brochure. Only papers presented
at PPAM 2011 will be included into the proceedings, which is planned to be
published after the conference by Springer-Verlag in the LNCS series. Full
camera-ready versions of accepted papers will be required by October 31, 2011.
Please follow the instructions provided at the homepage of PPAM2011 to upload
your paper. Specify minisymposium selecting a track
