Minisymposium
"Applications of Parallel Computation in Industry and Engineering" (APCI&E)
will be held in conjunction with the
PPAM 2013: 10TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON PARALLEL PROCESSING AND APPLIED MATHEMATICS
Warsaw, Poland,
September 8-11, 2013
http://ppam.pl
ORGANIZERS:
R. Ciegis (Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Lithuania)
J. Zilinskas (Vilnius University, Lithuania)
The minisymposium is the 5th in the series with previous minisymposia:
- Minisymposium "Applications of Parallel Computation in Industry and
Engineering" at PARA 2008: Workshop on State-of-the-Art in Scientific
and Parallel Computing, May 13-16, 2008, Trondheim, Norway;

- Minisymposium "Applications of Parallel Computation in Industry and
Engineering" at PPAM 2009: Eight International Conference on Parallel
Processing and Applied Mathematics, September 13-16, 2009, Wroclaw,
Poland; http://www.techmat.vgtu.lt/ppam09
- Minisymposium "Applications of Parallel Computation in Industry and
Engineering" at PPAM 2011: Ninth International Conference on Parallel
Processing and Applied Mathematics, September 11-14, 2011, Torun,
Poland; http://www.techmat.vgtu.lt/ppam11
- Minisymposium "Applications of Parallel Computation in Industry and
Engineering" at PARA 2012: Workshop on State-of-the-Art in Scientific and Parallel Computing, June 10-13, 2012, Helsinki, Finland;
http://www.techmat.vgtu.lt/para2012
The PPAM 2013 conference, tenth in a series, will cover topics in parallel and distributed processing, including theory and applications, as well as applied mathematics. The focus will be on models, algorithms, and software tools which facilitate efficient and convenient utilization of modern parallel and distributed computing architectures, as well as on large-scale applications.
The Minisymposium APCI&E is going to provide a forum for researchers and
practitioners using
parallel computations for solution of complex industrial and engineering applied
problems.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
- Application of parallel numerical methods to engineering and industrial
problems
- Scientific computation
- Parallel algorithms for solution of systems of PDEs
- Parallel algorithms for optimization
- Solution of data and computation intensive real world problems
- Parallel algorithms for heterogeneous computers (multicore and GPU)
DEADLINES:
Submission of Papers: May 15, 2013
Notification of Acceptance: June 26, 2013
Camera-Ready Papers: November 15, 2013
PAPER SUBMISSION AND PUBLICATION
Original papers are invited for the conference. Authors should submit full papers (draft version, PDF file, together with abstract)
using the online submission system before April 21, 2013. Regular papers are not to exceed 10 pages (LNCS style). Papers will be
refereed and accepted on the basis of their scientific merit and relevance to the conference topics. Abstracts of accepted papers will
be available during the conference in form of a brochure. Only papers presented at PPAM 2013 will be included into the proceedings, which
is planned to be published after the conference by Springer in the LNCS series. Full camera-ready versions of accepted papers will be required
by November 15, 2013.
The authors of selected papers of this MS will be invited to submit an extended
version of their work to the journal "Mathematical Modelling and Analysis"
